Months Behind on Your Books? I'll Get You Caught Up.
Maybe it's two years of uncategorized transactions. Maybe the QuickBooks file has turned into a mess nobody wants to open. Maybe there's a tax deadline coming and the numbers just aren't there yet. I clean up back books for Phoenix business owners every week — it's normal, it's fixable, and you won't get a lecture from me about how it got this way.
- Years of unreconciled accounts brought current
- Messy or half-built QuickBooks files rebuilt properly
- Clean financial statements you can hand straight to a tax preparer
- Enrolled Agent — if the IRS is already involved, I can represent you
Catch-up is a fixed project price, quoted before work starts. Most Phoenix files land between $1,500 and $6,000. Years behind, extra accounts, and messy QuickBooks Online files cost more; a few months of clean volume can be less. You'll know the number before I touch the file.
No judgment, no sales pressure. Tell me how far behind you are and I'll tell you what it takes to fix it.

Find out what it takes to get current
A short call is enough for me to tell you the scope, the cost, and whether your deadline is reachable.
How catch-up works
Three steps. You'll know your fixed project price before I touch the file.
I look at what you've got
On a short call you tell me how far behind you are and what still exists — bank statements, a QuickBooks file, a shoebox, or nothing at all. I look at the accounts, count what actually needs to be done, and give you one fixed project price before any work starts. No surprises later, and no hourly meter running in the background.
I do the cleanup
I categorize every transaction, reconcile each account month by month, fix the errors already sitting in your file, and rebuild the chart of accounts if it needs it. You don't have to sit with me while it happens. I come back to you only when I hit something I genuinely can't answer on my own.
You get clean books back
Reconciled accounts and real financial statements for every period I covered, ready for a tax return. If you want to stop there, stop there. If you'd rather never fall behind again, I can keep the books current every month from that point on.
My guarantee: if I miss the close date we agree to because of me, the last month of the project fee is waived.
What Phoenix business owners say
"Blake at CoPilot did and does such a great job. Everything got automated and organized. Years of procrastinating on digitizing records and automating the process of recording expenses is all done. Painless end of year now."
"I've got nothing but great things to say about Blake. I came to him in a bit of a panic with my small business after using another service that I wasn't satisfied with. He was able to quickly turn things around, which I was very confident. What I did not fully anticipate was level of service and knowledge after cleaning up my books. He has helped me project for the future of my business, make sure that I am making the correct investments, and stay organized. Highly recommend!"
"Blake has been handling our business accounting for years and is not only highly intelligent and up to date on tax codes, he has also helped us navigate our business in a much more profitable way. He's the best. Sincerely, ProGrade AZ"
"I have been a customer for more years than I can count. Blake and his team have been amazing; responsive, punctual, professional. I rarely give reviews but this one was a no-brainer. I highly recommend CoPilot and know if you give them a try, you will be as happy as we are."
Stop dreading the pile
However far behind you are, the first step is the same: a short conversation about what's actually there.
Catch-up bookkeeping FAQ
How far behind is too far?
There isn't a point where I turn work away. I regularly pick up books that are two, three, even five years behind, and I've cleaned up files where nothing was ever set up correctly in the first place. Older years take longer and cost more because there are more transactions and more missing records to chase down, but being far behind doesn't disqualify you. It's the most common reason people call me.
What does it cost?
Catch-up is a fixed project price, not an hourly meter, and I quote it before any work starts. Most Phoenix files land between $1,500 and $6,000. Years behind, extra bank and credit card accounts, and a QuickBooks Online file that's already a mess all cost more; a few months of clean volume can be less. You'll know the number before I touch the file.
If you need it spread out, payment plans are available after the project price is set — those can start at $195 a month until the backlog is clear. Once you're current, ongoing monthly bookkeeping starts at $395 a month for the standard plan. There's also a Lite plan at $250 a month if all you want is compliance books.
What do you need from me?
Read-only access to your bank and credit card accounts, or statements for the period I'm cleaning up, plus access to your QuickBooks file if you have one. That's usually enough for me to start. If receipts or records are missing, I'll tell you exactly which ones matter and which ones I can work around, so you're not hunting through boxes for things that won't change the outcome.
How long does it take?
A single year of clean, low-volume records is often finished in one to two weeks. Multiple years, or accounts with heavy transaction volume, typically run three to six weeks. If you have a filing deadline, tell me on the first call and I'll tell you honestly whether it's reachable, and prioritize the periods you need first.
What happens after you catch me up?
You get clean, reconciled books and financial statements for every period I cleaned up, ready to hand to whoever files your return. From there you can take the books back yourself, or hand the monthly work to me — ongoing bookkeeping starts at $395 a month for the standard plan. There's no obligation to continue either way; plenty of people have me clean up the file and take it from there. I'm also an Enrolled Agent, so if the catch-up surfaces an IRS notice or a filing problem, I'm authorized to represent you and deal with the IRS directly.
